Lighterature Reading is based on the conversion of light from luminous objects into tone images via the photovoltaic effect generated through solar panels. Under the influence of light, silicon cells of nine solar panels transform frequencies of light objects into sound images that can be modulated by classic analog effects or processed within different computer audio platforms. Each new performance implies a new chapter that is different from the previous one by introducing new light objects, by changing module situations, spatial set-up, or inclusion of the audience.

Lightune.G (HR)

Lightune.G was founded in 2011 as a desire to present the results of the luminoacoustic research of two Croatian artists - Miodrag Gladović and Bojan Gagić - which started in previou year. The name of the duo emerged from their first experiments, during which they performed with classical tungsten light sources producing a sound of 50 Hz (~G1). After the first series of Lighterature Readings (performances/concerts/installations) in which they created music using various types of artificial lighting and nine solar panels, they later started researching the sound produced by a natural light source – the Sun. In 2013 they presented their ‘mobile luminoacoustic’ project – Route 666, and a year later they built their first luminoacoustic object – Luminophone. Later on, they have collaborated with many other artists and festivals (Mirela Ivičević, Hugo Morales, Ana Horvat, Davorka Begović, Cantus Ensemble, Showroom of Contemporary Sound, Heart of Noise, Touch Me, Device_art).
