XX, the audiovisual installation that explores the connection between image and sound. Inspired by 8-bit music and low-tech devices, with the help of electronic circuits and electro-mechanical devices the work explores new models of modern music production. A system purged of all the complex mathematical operations that are used today for the production of sound (from bridge connector to bleeder chain) generates the sound of an imagined waveform.The installation is interactive, enabling visitors to draw the imaginary wave shape on the interface, and an electromechanical device turns the visual representation of the wave into a mechanical wave, that is, sound.
