Opening of the Short circuit exhibition at Šira Gallery

Opening of the exhibition of our interdisciplinary project Short circuit will take place on Thursday, December 6th 2018 at 7 p.m. at Šira Gallery, Zagreb.

Interdisciplinary project Short circuit in 2018 is directly linked to festival Device_art and is a part of the festival programme in Šira Gallery and Museum of Contemporary Art Zagreb as well as the programme outposts in Rijeka and Split.

This year's pilot project edition takes place at Šira Gallery from 22nd November to 11th December 2018. the Gallery is dedicated to presenting the artworks of students of Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb, and is in this project period transformed in an experimental art laboratory where students go through an interdisciplinary process of research, production and presentation of an artwork which interconnects art and technology.

Students of Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing in Zagreb and Department of Art History, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb have conceptalized the artwork together, in the spirit of the topic of the festival Device_art: Machines Are Not Alone.

The opening of the exhibition will take place on Thursday, December 6th 2018 at 7 p.m. at Šira Gallery, Zagreb, and the exhibition will stay opened until December 11th 2018 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The process is mentored by Iva Ćurić from the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb, Igor Brkić - member of Radiona.org makerspace, and Tvrtko Mandić from the Department of Electronics, Microelectronics, Computer and Intelligent Systems at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing in Zagreb, as well as KONTEJNER curators Luja Šimunović i Klara Petrović.
