This research collectively examines established concepts of accessibility and inclusivity in Zagreb's living spaces, contrasting the experiences of the cultural and religious majority with those who have relocated and made the city their home. By combining social and cultural-artistic work, the project also explores the concepts of language and home in the broadest sense—communication, understanding, connecting with others, stress and pressures, and opportunities for participation in everyday life, from meeting basic needs and accessing social services to engaging in culture, socializing, and forming relationships.
By presenting this "work in progress," which will continue to evolve and expand as the research progresses, the process is opened to the wider public. This allows for the testing of collaboration potentials and introduces local audiences to the diverse perspectives on life in Zagreb as experienced by newcomers. The public presentation will also materialize and mediate the results of a workshop held earlier with a group of individuals from migrant backgrounds, gathering their perspectives and experiences.
The exhibition opens on February 26 at 6 PM, with a research presentation, an introductory talk, and a performance by Jan Jafo at 7 PM. The exhibition will also be open on February 27 from 6 PM.
