Zidar Betonsky, the cult electro industrial band from Split, which returned to the scene in its original line-up in 2025 after a 25-year hiatus, performed at KONTEJNER on 11 June 2026.

Formed in the early 1990s, Zidar Betonsky marked the Split underground scene with a brutally honest, mechanical, and deeply human sound. Their legendary 1997 album "Crni album" defined an atmosphere of resistance and frustration for a generation that grew up between war, transition, and industrial collapse. Beyond their original releases, the band is also known for composing music for theatre productions, particularly through collaborations with the Fraktal Falus Theatre collective. Following their comeback performance in 2025, ZBT continue their live activity with a set that combines archival material, "Crni album", and the energy of the present moment.

During the final months of the war in Croatia, the city of Split witnessed the formation of a trio super-group composed of underground musicians and enthusiasts — one of the first Split-based lineups without a live drummer. Edi, Zdeslav, and Hrvoje brought valuable experience from notable local bands including Rapa Nui, Mistery Lapsus, and Touch Friction, embarking on a more aggressive and ambitious venture. That same summer of 1995, they recorded a six-song demo under DIY conditions, and performed their now-cult concert at the Zlatna Vrata, titled "In Memoriam Jimi Hendrix". Their pioneering sound blends the emotional intensity of 1980s cold wave and goth rock with the bitterness and darkness of Split in the 1990s, filtered through the abrasive guitar aesthetic of Steve Albini and his protégés.
