Croatian artist Ivana Tkalčić participates at TTTlabs BioFeral.BeachCamp (BFBC) in Crete

Ivana Tkalčić, a prominent young Croatian artist, is participating in the TTTlabs BioFeral.BeachCamp (BFBC), a unique event, organized by The Ionian University, taking place from September 15-25, 2024, on the island of Crete.

TTTlabs BioFeral.BeachCamp (BFBC): “NewRepro-FlaOctomingopus (NR-FO) - Non-Human Bioart/Bodyart on the Beach (NH-BB)” is a speculative interdisciplinary event that explores advances in reproductive technologies through the blending of art and science. The program focuses on topics such as in vitro fertilization (IVF), artificial wombs, germline gene editing, and surrogacy, employing DIY, DIWO, and DITO methodologies, all within the framework of bioart and performance art. Through the hacking of research methods and innovative bioart experiments, participants will explore the ethical and philosophical dimensions of transgenic human chimeras, animal behavior, and posthuman family planning.
