Haena Yoo | 유해나 (KR)

Haena Yoo is a multidisciplinary artist working in video, sculpture, and installation. She creates performative installations merging material and immaterial systems- found objects, sound, text, organic materials, fermentation, and scent. By employing materials that ferment, rot, or evaporate, Yoo exposes the instability of control, turning the invisible forces of entropy that fails the system. Her recent works explore well-being through circularity, the relationship between dependence, interdependence, capitalist flows, and the dissonances between need and resources. Recent solo exhibitions include Murmurs, Los Angeles (2024); Bibeaukrueger, New York City (2023); Art-o-rama, Marseille (2023); Gallery Shilla, Seoul (2022) among others. Selected group exhibitions have been held at Le Cyclop de Jean Tinguely, Milly-la-forêt (2025); Montpellier Contemporain, Montpellier (2025); Torrance Art Museum, Torrance (2025); P21, Seoul (2025); Whitenoise, Seoul (2025).
