KONTEJNER is welcoming Berlin based Canadian artist Darsha Hewitt as the 2021 EMAP resident. Her two-month online residency will focus on the second part of the sound-centric trilogy “High Fidelity Wasteland” that experiments with the material waste left over from generations of decomposing sound reproduction technology.

The open call for new artistic production and participation in the seventh edition of Device_art festival is open from February 1, to March 1, 2021. The festival will take place in November 2021 at the Museum of Arts and Crafts in Zagreb. The call is open to all individuals and collectives residing and working in Croatia.

Set up on the ground floor of Exportdrvo building in Rijeka, the interactive robotic installation "Hysterical Machines" of renown Canadian artist and roboticist Bill Vorn will be open for public from August 13th to September 19th, 2020. After the opening on Thursday, August 13th at 7 p.m., the installation will stay open every day from 5 to 9 p.m., with an admission fee of 10,00 HRK. The project is realized as a part of the Rijeka 2020 – European Capital of Culture programme and its flagship Dopolavoro, in collaboration with NGO Drugo more.

Croatian artist Tomo Savić-Gecan is exhibiting at the Sculpture Garden Biennale, which will be held from June 12 to September 30, 2020 at three locations in the center of Geneva (Park des Eaux-Vives, Park La Grange and Quai Gustave-Ador). Tomo Savić-Gecan will exhibit two works – a new production created for the Biennale and a work that is the result of his one-month residency at CERN, realized in 2017 in cooperation with Arts at CERN, KONTEJNER and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Croatia.
