Fina was my neighbor and friend. I told her I wanted to photograph her in the nude because I did not like the fact that from the moment that we see the effects of the passing of time our bodies are destined to be ignored and forgotten. Factors that cannot be modified (ageing, sickness and other life situations) determine the way we see each other and the way others see us. In spite of this, Fina always transmitted her courage, strength and independence even when things she always thought were assured began to crumble.
